Filmed in Montenegro, Romania, and the U.S., Don't Tell Me I'm Beautiful is a poetry film made for the poem of the same name by American poet Eliot Michl. Michl narrates her poem and appears in various stages of her life throughout the film.
Don’t Tell Me I’m Beautiful was chosen as an Official Selection at the 2018 Juteback Poetry Film Festival. JPFF is Colorado’s only poetry film festival and one of only two poetry film festivals screening in the U.S. today.
The film was chosen again as an Official Section at the 2019 FADFest in Detroit, Michigan. The FADFest brings together Fine Art, Experimental Short Films, and Music from around the globe.
The film was also chosen to be screened by Seattle’s Arts in Nature festival, by Ohio’s Findlay University multimedia wing, and by the Paris School of Art and Culture.
