Sunset over Thailand

Sunset over Thailand

With work and play, I'm having trouble keeping you all updated as much as I'd like.

I created a YouTube channel to post my videos and LiveStreams downloaded from Facebook. Go ahead and Follow me on Facebook or Follow my YouTube page so you keep up to date on the latest.

Here's a short video of the setting sun over Bovi Beach, my home for the month of October in gorgeous Koh Phangan, Thailand.

. . .

October means a lot of anniversaries for me—grief anniversaries. It's the month that includes the day when I first started dating my ex-husband over 15 years ago. It's the month that includes my former mother-in-law's birthday. It's the month of my father's birthday who passed away at the end of last year. It's the month when I watched the final baseball game with my dad when they won the World Series. It was the last baseball game he ever watched. I made us a healthy version of spinach and artichoke dip with Greek yogurt and we ate it with fresh tortilla chips and carrot sticks. We drank Michelob Ultras—the only doctor-approved beer.

THE JOURNEY

by David Whyte

Above the mountains
the geese turn into
the light again

Painting their
black silhouettes
on an open sky.

Sometimes everything
has to be
inscribed across
the heavens

so you can find
the one line
already written
inside you.

Sometimes it takes
a great sky
to find that

first, bright
and indescribable
wedge of freedom
in your own heart.

Sometimes with
the bones of the black
sticks left when the fire
has gone out

someone has written
something new
in the ashes of your life.

You are not leaving.
Even as the light fades quickly now,
you are arriving.
